Getting Health Insurance in NC & the U.S.

Obtaining health insurance is so much more difficult than it should be. Our country has access to billions of dollars and some of the best doctors in the world. So why are there so many that still have no protection and no help? It’s crazy! I heard someone on the TV yesterday ranting about this bailout for banks… If they were to give the banks this amount of money, it would be equal to giving every single person in the country $750,000. Want to help the economy? Don’t think people would spend from that and pay off bills? Some may be able to finally get health care coverage, too. Yeah, that would never happen.

If you live in North Carolina, don’t have health insurance, or are not happy with your health insurance, you may be able to find a good deal. You may want to look at a NC health insurance provider that offers packages for individuals and groups that are custom tailored to fit your needs.

Gas Prices by Zip Code is Genius

gas prices by zip codeHigh gas prices is old news, although it is still a major part of our day for most of us. What if you could get gas prices by zip code whenever you felt like it? That would be a nice thing to know before you leave the house so you aren’t caught off guard when you get to the gas station. I was going to say “shocked” when you get to the gas station, but let’s face it… it’s hard to really be shocked by any price now days.

Of course, gas prices by zip code could help you save a little bit of money by finding the station that is currently offering the lowest price.

If finding gas prices by zip code instantly online sounds great to you, then these websites may be something you find useful. Most of them are absolutely free, but I’m not sure about the first one (Gas Buddy) — you have to sign up at least it looks like.

Here We Go… Will Hurricane Hannah Track Right to Carolinas?

hurricane Hannah track2008 hurricane season trying to make a spectacular closing… Will hurricane Hannah track to the Carolinas? What do you think? We live near the coast in North Carolina, and we’ve luckily not had much of a hurricane at all since 1999 (Floyd). There was one, what, three years ago? It did a little damage but nothing to speak of really. My husband has yet to see one here, and had a tendency to think they are nothing… we’re both from the mid-west where tornados were just a fact of life – there aren’t even tornado sirens around here – what’s up with that?

We’re keeping our eyes on the hurrican Hanna track to see what unfolds. What’s funny? My husband is more inland right now for work, so don’t know how much he’ll get if it even did hit. Do you think it will hit the Carolina’s coast?
