I was browsing the online baby store the other day because I am planning to buy something for my grandson. My “oohs” and “aahs” were endless because there are too many clothes for the baby. I even found baby footwear that looks like an equestrian boots. It is really very tempting to buy, but then again I realized that there are certain things to consider in choosing baby clothes:

• Appearance is not everything, baby clothes should be comfortable to wear. The material of the fabric is very important.
• It should be easier to change and wear, babies are quite messy and they require frequent change of clothes. Avoid buying clothes with too many buttons especially if you are always in a hurry.
• Find something that is very easy to care and would not require special instructions such as dry cleaning.

Gardening is an activity that can relax a person especially if you see your plants start to bloom. The virtue of patience is enhanced through gardening because you cannot grow a beautiful bloom over night. It takes a lot of time and effort before you see the results of your hard work; hence you need to be patient about it. The basic steps to start with your own garden would include the following:

• Decide whether you are going to have a flower or vegetable garden.
• Plant the seeds or plant in the pot, make sure that soil will not leak out on the pot.
• Once planted, using your metal hose or any plant watering container, always water your plant. Never allow the seeds to dry out, and then you can taper off in watering once the plant starts to grow bigger.
• Weed when necessary so that your plant can grow without obstructions and will grow healthy too.

Parenting skill is something that will come out naturally. Although it wouldn’t hurt if parents would read guide books especially when their child is still an infant. There are only two things that are certain in this world and these are taxes and death. With taxes we know it is time to file our income taxes, however with death we do not know when it will arrive. I think I have mentioned in my previous posts that I have a son who is a registered nurse. Nursing career is considered as one of the highest paying career thus more and more people are motivated to become a nurse. However, in reality as I see it, nursing can be a tough job. Not all patients are cooperative, most of the patients are even cranky yet nurses are expected to return that crankiness with a smile. It can be physically draining too, imagine pulling the medical computer carts if necessary or if asked to. I salute those nurses who really know how it is to properly care for their patients.
