3 Easy Skin Care Tips to do Today
If you’re one of the millions of people who suffer with acne flare-ups and skin irritations, there are several things you can do to help. In fact, these are simple steps that can be done today and every day that may help keep you skin problems to a minimum (or at least reduce the amount of flare-ups you have).
Get Moving
Doing even a little bit of exercise each day can help keep acne at bay by reducing your stress levels (often from depression or low self-esteem stemming from skin care problems). When you exercise, avoid tight-fitting, synthetic clothing. They can trap your body’s heat and moisture, leading to a safe haven for bacteria to build. Choose loose fitting clothes that are made from natural materials or cotton; ones that will allow your skin to breather easier and get fresh air.
Make-Up
If you have to use make-up, try to choose ones that are oil-free and/or noncomedogenic. Think twice about using that sparkly, shimmering color, because they often have flaky minerals (mica) that is known to clog your pores… which leads to skin irritations.
Hygeine
Your skin care routine shouldn’t include any harsh scrubbing. Doing so can just irritate your skin more. Don’t over wash, either. Try to include a gentle exfoliation a couple of times a week, but not anything too abrasive. Avoid alcohol products that dry out your skin, and can even remove a top layer of skin… a combination that only leads to more oil being produced by your glands.
