By doing this you will not have to dream up a myriad of different activities, and, at the end of the day, a group of children running around the garden is more fun than dealing with unsuccessful contestants.

3: Decorations

As with all the ideas discussed on this page, keep the decorations simple. As for the inside have a couple of “Happy Birthday Banners” on the walls, out of reach to prying hands, of course. 4: Timing

Make it mid afternoon and keep it short. You don’t want to have everyone come round at 9am and leave at 7pm. Just a couple of hours will do. This leaves you ample time to prepare in the morning and clean up in the late afternoon. It goes without saying that the longer the party is, the more you will have to prepare, so why cause undue headaches?

5: It will never be perfect

As with most things in life the odds are highly stacked against you and something, usually minor, will go wrong. You may forget the cake or little jimmy may refuse to join in, there is nothing, in preparation, that you can do about this. Just go with the flow and try and make the whole experience as crease free as possible. It is worth having contact details of all parents involved in case of emergency. All in all it is relatively hard to go wrong with a children’s party. The problems that usually arise are trivial and there is no need for panic or dismay.

So, it’s coming up on another holiday season. Friends are already talking about the weight they don’t want to gain, and how they are going to deal with it if they do. We decided to do a little group project, if you want to call it that. Each of us are going to find two resources that we think are helpful and we’ll combine them to come up with some of the best options.

I’ve only searched a little bit, but so far I have one. This one will hopefully help us choose a great weight loss pill that actually works, if we opt to go with a pill option that is. Do you have a resource that you have found particularly helpful, or something that you do during the holiday season to avoid weight loss (or lose if it does happen)?
