I’ve always thought I was pretty good at bogging down my hard drives. Whenever I find a neat program, a cool game, or anything I’m likely to download it… even if I end up using it once or twice a year. I think what if I need it or want to play it sometime? Really, I’m not too hard on it though, at least not in comparison to my Mom!
I wouldn’t even want to know how many games she has. Every time we visit, she has a new game she downloaded that my son “plays”. I say it like that because he’s only 3-years-old, but he’s getting pretty good at clicking on what needs to be clicked on! Not only does she download game after game, but she spends most of her day, every day, playing with graphics in Paint Shop Pro. She runs and belongs to so many PSP groups where they have graphic challenges every week, contests, etc… and she finally bogged down her PC.
So off I went on a search to find a decent solution. I came across Micro SD, where I was able to find a suitable external hard drive for her without spending a fortune! So, at least for a little while, she has more room to play with.

High gas prices is old news, although it is still a major part of our day for most of us. What if you could get gas prices by zip code whenever you felt like it? That would be a nice thing to know before you leave the house so you aren’t caught off guard when you get to the gas station. I was going to say “shocked” when you get to the gas station, but let’s face it… it’s hard to really be shocked by any price now days.
2008 hurricane season trying to make a spectacular closing… Will hurricane Hannah track to the Carolinas? What do you think? We live near the coast in North Carolina, and we’ve luckily not had much of a hurricane at all since 1999 (Floyd). There was one, what, three years ago? It did a little damage but nothing to speak of really. My husband has yet to see one here, and had a tendency to think they are nothing… we’re both from the mid-west where tornados were just a fact of life – there aren’t even tornado sirens around here – what’s up with that?
You’ve probably heard of the dog whisperer or even the ghost whisperer… but what about the potty whisperer?
